Well, it's officially over. The last day went along much better except for what has become to be expected of getting off to a rather late start. We were off and running with photos soon after getting parked which was great. I got a special treat right off the bat, running into no other than Ryoko and Washu who I was able to get a photo with. Other than that the day progressed fast and before long we were packing up and headed for a Sushi Party. Old friends and new friends meet at the local sushi place and had a great dinner. Currently we are getting ready for a little post Con party before the driving begins to get home tomorrow.
Well today is the last day. Yesterday had it's ups and downs. We got off to a really slow start due illness to and foot pain. As we started to explore for food things started to pickup again as we found a wonderful group trying to promote their artwork though the use of Cosplay, be sure to check out the review for more on that later. In any case we broke out the convention center and enjoyed the harbour area. We ended up putting off dinner until much later which turned out to be a blast because we had the best waitress at the Chicago Uno.
That's it for now Day 3 is beckoning to become a great day at Otakon.
Right not it's about 7:30am on Saturday August 9th 2008 and the day seems to be getting off to a slow start at the moment for everyone but myself. One day of the great convention has passed and what a day it was. My cohorts and I had great time yesterday kicking the convention off. We'd like to welcome you that have found your way here from one of our many business cards that we passed out so far and for those of you are just getting here looking for photos. We invite you to look around, sorry no Otakon 2008 photos just yet... we did need a little sleep, shutters, before today. But, fear not for many photos were taken and they shall be uploaded.
Well CTCon was here and gone just as quick it seems. The CLS crew had a good time all in all. We hooked up with some of our college friends, artist and dealer friends. We stayed in the Marriott this year and there will be more on that later. The con had a new format this year which was a little odd for the few of us that are on our third year.
However, bigger things are a brew. Otakon, the East coast anime convention. Stopchick and I are both in Maryland at TomTom Panda's house as I write this brief update. We have our badges of demigodiness (aka Dealer badges). Stay tuned for more stuff. CTCon Photos to come soon followed closely by Otakon photos and videos.

Also, for those of you who did not attend you may be interested in Japan Day. Here is a excerpt from the About page.
About Japan Day Japan Day is an event designed by the Japanese community of New York to promote deeper understanding of Japanese culture and, to say "Thank you, New York!" The inaugural Japan Day was held in Central Park, Rumsey Playfield, June 3rd, 2007. Over 14,000 New Yorkers enjoyed the stage show, free Japanese food and activity tents featuring video games, robots, origami, calligraphy traditional toys and games.
Japan Day 2008 is held in a green oasis in New York City, Central Park's East Meadow. Once again, the heart of Manhattan will be transformed into a Japanese Summer Festival.
